Services for Ida Lou Byrd were held Friday, March 25, 2005, at 2 p.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel.

The Rev. Charles Barnett and the Rev. Billy James officiated. Burial was in Longino Cemetery.

Mrs. Byrd, 86, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, in Neshoba County General Hospital.

She was a retired garment seamstress. Mrs. Byrd was a member of Longino Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Albert Byrd;
parents, T.A. "Bub" Ford and Lena Robertson Ford;
sister, Janie Cotten; and
brothers, Elvie Ford and Lee Edward Ford.

Survivors include
three daughters, Lanortta Maxey, Wanda Dearing and Toni Tullos, all of Philadelphia;
four sons, Eugene Byrd and Billy Byrd, both of Philadelphia, Tippy Byrd of Florence and David Byrd of Independence, Mo.;
15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren;
three sisters, Catherine Rist of Milton, Fla., Bobbie McKee and Billie Lashley, both of Philadelphia; and
one brother, Jack Ford of Ridgeland.

Pallbearers were Tony Byrd, Jeremy Blair, Max Maxey, Chris Byrd, Paul Dearing, Richard Byrd, Matt Byrd, Keith Rogers, Chad Blanchard, Jonathan Dearing and Domanic Chapman.
