She was born on February 26,1929 in Portland, the daughter of Alfred and Grace Seavey Milliken. She was the last survivor of their 11 children.
Selma graduated from Deering High School and went on to graduate with a degree in Journalism from Westbrook Junior College. For many years she worked for the telephone company and in later years worked in the Deli at Shaw's and cleaned cottages.
Selma was a member of the United Baptist Church and of the Annette Chapter #184 Order of Eastern Star. She loved reading, painting, sewing and writing short stories.
She was predeceased by her husband Melvin Wilbur in 2006.
