1970 obituary. Wendall S. Milliken, 53, of 41 Pleasant Ave., president of Milliken Brothers Inc., electrical contractors, died Sunday in a local hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Milliken was born in Saco Feb. 4, 1917, son of Alfred H. and Grace Seavey Milliken. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Deering High School and of the University of Maine in 1940. During World War II, he served in the Seabees. After the war, he and his brothers founded the Milliken firm. He was a member of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church. He also was a member of Deering Lodge, AF&AM; Maine Consistory, 32nd Degree, Scottish Rite, Valley of Portland; Kora Shrine of Lewiston; Portland Shrine Club; Deering Chapter, OES; Riverside Golf Club; Woodfords Club, and the Cumberland County Fish and Game Association. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Mary Foster; three sons; three daughters; five sisters... Interment in Brooklawn Memorial Park.
