Born in Dalhart, TX and a daughter of the late Oscar H. and Rhetta Stout Denman, loving wife of 64 years to John P. Cantley and devoted aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cantley was a retired registered nurse with the state of South Carolina where her 30-year career was dedicated to serving the needs of chronically ill children. Prior to her retirement she and John spent their years living in the Charleston area. She was an avid sports fan and loved her Clemson Tigers. While in Charleston she was an active member of Charleston Heights Baptist church and since retirement she was an active member of Salem Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, John P. Cantley, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Sharing a special bond through the years with her niece Kate and husband Greg Bailey along with their children Claire and Mitchell (Misa) Bailey.

Mrs. Cantley was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Denman Johnson, Virginia Denman Yarborough, Joyce Denman Belcher and Geraldine Denman Vuich and three brothers, Howard Denman, Kenneth Denman and Raymond Denman and great-niece Claire Bailey.
