Lexington - Services for Frances Jeffcoat Whetstone, 62, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with burial to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to children's homes of one's choice. Mrs. Whetstone died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996. Born in North, she was a daughter of Lou Ellen Jeffcoat Jeffcoat and the late Howard Jeffcoat and was a member of Brooklyn Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Benjamin H. Whetstone of Lexington; mother, Lou Ellen Jeffcoat of North; son, Ben Whetstone Jr. of West Columbia; daughters, Debra Fisher and Terri Dooley of Lexington; brothers, Hillary Jeffcoat of Tuscalloosa, Ala. and Ben Aubrey of Sumter; sister, Beverly Fogle of Easly [Easley]; six grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 27 Oct 1996
