Mr. Nichols Served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, James Leon Nichols of Jacksonville, NC; sisters, Nadine and Shirley; brother, Dannie; and grandchildren, James I. Nichols and Beth Nichols.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at McCabe Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. G.H. Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the church. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Abbey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Mission Board, 3806 Monument Ave, Richmond, VA 23230 or to McCabe Memorial Baptist Church, 107 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112.
