Born in Haypress on March 13, 1929, he was the son of the late William P. and Mildred Ellison Voiles. He first married Mary Best and they divorced. He later married Anna Marie (Hanks) Dunham.
Surviving besides his wife Ann Marie, are his children: Alan (JoDell) Voiles of Eldred, Danny Voiles of Pottsboro, TX, step-sons: Kent (Patty) Dunham of Kane, Dan Dunham of Hawk Point, MO, grandchildren: Kendra, Tyler, Sara, Amber, Luke, Ashley, LeAnn, and Tristan, and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Jon and Bobby Voiles, and grandchildren: Kara and Blake Dunham.
Bill was a long time seed sales manager for Columbiana Seed Co., McNair Seed Co. and the seed division of Shell Oil Company. He also owned and operated “Sweet William’s Tavern” in Eldred for several years. He enjoyed golf, duck hunting, fishing and his family.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville. Memorials may be made to the Kane Baptist Church.
