He attended Western Military Academy of Alton, graduated from Carrollton High School in 1971 and attended Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri.
He was part owner of the family business the Columbian Seed Company in Eldred and was Clark Trucking in Granite City as a truck driver.
Surviving are a daughter Sarah L. Voiles of Carrollton a son Joe Tyler Voiles of Pittsfield; three brothers Allen L., Robert L. Voiles of Carrollton and Dan L. Voiles of Pottsboro, Texas; a step mother Anna Marie Voiles of Eldred; two step brothers Kent Dunham of Jane and Dan Dunham of Collinsville and fiancee Glenda L. Tuviner of Hardin.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm today at Hanks-Gaber Funeral Home in Hardin, where services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday with Rev. John Lobos officiating. Burial will be in the Eldred Memorial Gardens. Memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society.
