George Adolph was born in New Lisbon, Indiana, June 1st, 1860, and died at his home in Eskridge, Kansas, October 14th, 1910, at two o'clock a.m. being the time of his death, 60 years, 4 months and 13 days of age. He was united in marriage with Miss Amanda Wilcox, July 3rd, 1877, in Lyndon Kansas. Two this union were born ten children, all of whom are still living. Besides these children, an aged father, one brother, three sisters and beloved wife remain to mourn his departure. He was converted and united with the M.E. Church in Pomona, Kansas, twenty-six years ago and when he went out from this life he went confidently trusting in Him who has promised for us eternal life. Mr Adolph was for months a great but patient sufferer,and when the end came he passed quietly and peacefully away. The remains were brought to Burlingame Saturday for interment, funeral services being held at the M.E. church at two o'clock p.m., Rev. W.B. Stevenson, of the Eskridge church officiating. Mr Adolph formerly lived in Burlingame, and for many years was a section foreman. He had worked for the Santa Fe for nearly thirty years. He has known to be an honest, industious citizen.
