ESKRIDGE – Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Eskridge United Methodist Church for Mrs. Phoebe A. Younker, 100, formerly of Eskridge, who died Tuesday at a Meeker, Colo., hospital. She has been at a Meeker nursing home since 1966.
Mrs. Younker was born March 8, 1878, in Lyndon and had lived in the Eskridge community 70 years.
She was a member of the Eskridge United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxilliary at Eskridge.
She married James Younker June 4, 1899, in Burlingame. He died Feb. 18, 1942.
Survivors include a son, James Younker, Apache Junction, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Loosbroock, Rangley, Colo., and Mrs. Mabel Finch, Colorado Springs, Colo.,; a sister, Mrs. Lottie McKnight, Eskridge; a brother, Clarence Adolph, Scranton; and eight grandchildren.
Burial will beat Eskridge Cemetery. Austin Funeral Home, Eskridge, is in charge of arrangements.
