She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and a former waitress at Tuck's Restaurant.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheila (Howard) Richardson of Pell City, AL, and Patricia Ann Morse Eason of Hertford, NC; one son, Donald Wesley Morse of Hertford, NC; a step daughter, Mary Ann (Martin) Creef of Elizabeth City, NC; two step-sons, Norman Bradley (Tracy) Leary of Camden, NC and Johnny Wayne (Susan) Leary of Elizabeth City, NC; one sister, Lillie Ambrose of Elizabeth City, NC; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, John Albert Morse; a sister, Elizabeth Robertson; and five brothers, Marvin Hunter, Elgin Ray Hunter, Wayland Gene Hunter, Jimmy "Catfish" Hunter, and Edward Hunter.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carroll Bundy officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
