Winnie was the daughter of Eli Grover and Elizabeth Jane Gardner Sammons. Her parents are buried in Denson Springs Cemetery. She is buried beside her husband, Thomas Columbus Bynum, who she married 24 February 1920 in Anderson Co, TX. Her children, Roy Wayne Bynum and Evelyne Bynum are also buried in Garden of Memories.

Mrs. Bynum
Funeral services for Mrs. Winnie Bynum, 84, of 719 Gilbert, Palestine, were to be at 4 p.m. today in Hassell & Foster Chapel, Con Stevens officiating. Burial was to be in the Garden of Memories in Elkhart.
Mrs. Bynum died Sunday in Anderson County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Anderson County and had made her home in Palestine for the past 10 years.
Survivors include one son, Roy W. Bynum of Palestine; a daughter, Miss Evelyn Bynum of Palestine; one sister, Mrs. Mae Rogers of Palestine and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were members of the Queen & Debard Street Church of Christ; Jim Wineinger, C. D. Hudson, Cecil West, Melvin Gambrell, Jack Deal and Ben Hearn.
