Willard Clayton Cole Sr., 73, of 321 11th Street, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Sandra Wyatt Cole and the son of the late Willie Clayton (Fat) Cole and Thelma Workman Cole.
He was the owner/operator of Coles Produce and retired from Browns Packing. His passion was cooking hash and barbeque for his family and friends. Mr. Cole was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church. He had a great love for his church, church family and serving the Lord.
In addition to his wife, also surviving is a son, Clayton Cole of Rock Hill, S.C.; two daughters, Susan Najera and husband, Armando and Catherine Cole (Roger Terry), both of Gaffney; a brother, Kenny Cole and wife, Brenda of Gaffney; two sisters, Barbara Rochester and husband, David and Marsha Cole, both of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Brooke Fowler and Kinsey Black and husband, Andrew; two sisters-in-law, Shelia Cole and Brenda Cole, both of Gaffney.
Mr. Cole was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam Cole, Danny Cole and Ralph Cole.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his sister and caregiver, Marsha Cole.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Rose Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Eddie Hardin officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
