Anna was born on October 3, 1922 to Ambrosine Hacking Ashby and Stephen Wells Ashby. in Vernal, Utah. Anna married George Oldham July 3, 1942 at Vancouver, Washington.
Anna was a stenographer at Hill Field in Ogden, Utah and a stenographer at U.S. Army Depot at Spokane, Washington. She owned and managed a fast food restaurant in Vernal, Utah. Later she worked in the Maeser School Cafeteria. Anna and George were fun-loving and outgoing people. She would take out her false teeth and sing "The Old Sow Song"
She made the best tasting food including enchiladas, fried rice and the list goes on. Anna and George had three sons: Leslie Carrel Oldham, Stephen George Oldham, and James Allison Oldham. Anna was preceded in death by son Leslie on 1965.
Anna had her left breast removed because of cancer in June 1965. That same week her oldest son, Leslie drowned in the Yampa River while taking a group in a raft.
Her husband, George, died December 14, 1972 in an oil company truck rollover on an icy road 8 miles north of Rangely, Colorado.
Anna died in Vernal, Utah of cirrhosis of the liver caused by a gene. She never drank alcohol.
