Bobby 'Pee-wee" Piper, 48, of 318 Elmwood in West Frankfort, died Thursday. Jan. 17. 1980. at the John Cochran Veterans Veterans Hospital in St. Louis.

Mr. Piper was employed as a pipe fitter and cab driver in West Frankfort until his retirement in 1974 due to ill health. He was an army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

He was born Oct. 10. 1931. in Oiney, to Leslie and Elsie Waldrop Piper.

He was married Nov. 14. 1978, in Benton, to Opal Nolen.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Wanda McElyea ; half sister, June Patterson ; stepsister, Wilma O'Brien ; and half brother, Alfred Peters Peters .

He was preceded in death by his parents, parents, a brother, and a half sister.
