Love to see the names: Hale, Freese, Parker, Quick, Jack, Mayfield and Tipton. I research a lot in Southern Illinois, especially my husband's family that has been here for generations (DeNeal, Wilson, Johnson, Wise, Wasson, Cravens, and more).

I find fulfillment in taking requesting photos, adding photos and adding memorials. I envision a new hint popping up that someone has been waiting on when I find older memorials that have never been added. I have several relatives, that have never been added and I don't know where they are buried, so I hope someone else is doing this as well.

If you would like to take over a memorial (as long as it is not a relative of mine or my husband) I will gladly give over management. Please tell me in the edit why you think you should have the memorial. Feel free to use any photo I take. I will gladly add edits as long as I think they are legit. I do a little research beforehand to see if they make sense to the situation.

I am a historian and teach history so I am greatly interested in the back story of the memorials I photograph. War veterans, their role in history is interesting to me. I pay attention to the era of the Spanish Flu. History lives through the lives of everyday people.
