Elizabeth MITCHELL
Elizabeth Mitchell, 36, of 501 West 7th Street, West Frankfort, died at her home, Saturday, of an apparent heart attack in her sleep. Mrs. Mitchell was born Dec. 8, 1937, in West Frankfort, daughter of the late W. A. Peters and Elsie Waldrop Peters. She married James Mitchell on Feb. 7, 1954 at Corinth, Miss. Survivors are her husband, James, of West Frankfort; three sons, Lee, Timmy, and Deon Mitchell, are at home; her mother, Elsie Peters of West Frankfort; two sisters, June Patterson and Mrs. Charles McElyea, both of West Frankfort; and three brothers, Alfred Peters of Highland, Wendell Piper of Robinson, and Bob Piper of West Frankfort. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with the Rev. Bruce McNeely, pastor of the Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort, officiating. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
