Funeral services for R.C. (Sam) Tuggle were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 1995 at Rose-Neath Minden Chapel. The Rev. James Cason officiated. Burial followed at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Minden.

Mr. Tuggle died at 4:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 1995 at Springhill Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 82 years of age.

The retired KCS Railroad worker was a native of Claiborne Parish, but had lived in Minden for over 50 years. He was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Dora Oneta Tuggle of Minden, one son Michael Tuggle, also of Minden and four daughters, Madeline Tuggle of Minden, Betty June Sherwood of Springhill, Carolyn Beardon of Homer, and Rita Day of Keithville.

Also, three sisters, Mabel Wren of Minden, Mary Cook of Mobile, Ala., and Della Kramer, also of Mobile, Ala., a brother, Kit Tuggle of Minden and eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
