Anna M. Lippincott was born on the 24th of February 1853 to Charles H. Lippincott and Mary Ann Fisher in Shelby County. She had three older siblings, Samuel, twelve years her senior, Elizabeth, eleven years older, Deborah, nine years older and Ester that was seven years older. She also had two young siblings, twins, Lewis and Sarah, that were three years younger. Her mother died when Anna was only five years old. Her brother, Samuel enlisted in the Ohio Infantry as part of the Civil War in 1861. Unfortunately, Samuel died of disease at the premature age of 22. Meanwhile, Anna worked as a housekeeper. Tragically, she died on the 9th of July 1872, at the tender age of 19 of typhoid fever.
