Elizabeth Lippincott was born in 1842 in Sidney, Ohio to Charles H. Lippincott and Mary Ann Fisher. She was one of eight children. She was the eldest daughter. Her brother, Samuel joined the Civil War and died at the tender age of 22. Her other siblings included a younger sister, Deborah (2 years younger), Ester (4 years younger), Anna M. (9 years yonger) and twin siblings - Lewis and Sarah that were 15 years younger. Tragically, her mother died at the young age of 38 and Elizabeth was just 16. Her younger sister, Anna died at the young age of 19 of typhoid fever and her other sister, Ester of pneumonia at the young age of 32. Elizabeth married John P. Conway in 1862, when she was 20. Elizabeth worked as a seamstress. She passed away (widowed) on the 12th of October 1911, at the age of 69.
