Leona Kay Adams, 85, of 185 South Center street, Fielding, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1987, in a Tremonton nursing home of causes incident to age.

She was born Nov, 1, 1902, in East Tremonton to John Thomas and Laura Rozetta Hawes Kay.

She was married to Afton Devere Adams on Sept. 23, 1925, in the Logan LDS temple.

She was reared and educated in East Tremonton and attended Bear River High school in Garland.

She played accordian and piano for many years.

She was a member of the Hampton Ford LDS ward, serving in the past as a YWMIA teacher. She was also a visiting teacher and visiting teacher supervisor for many years.

Survivors include her husband of Fielding; one son and three daughters: DeVere K. Adams, Fielding; Mrs. Shirley Steed, Ogden; Mrs. Richard (Lois) Davis, Rupert, Idaho; Mrs. Eldred (Elaine) Stanwood, Salisbury, Mass.; 2l grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

AIso surviving are one brother and four sisters: Loren Kay, Ogden; Mrs. Nick (Dorothy) Chournos, Tremonton; Mrs. Eunice Summers, Garland; Mrs. Carma Radin, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Leonard (Lillian) Keller, Spokane, Wash.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, one granddaughter, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in a Fielding stake center with Bishop LeRoy G. Welling officiating.

Interment was in Tremonton Riverview cemetery.
Arrangements were by Rogers mortuary of Tremonton.
