Celesta Middleton
Services for Celesta Middleton of Midland are set for 3pm Monday at Ellis unreal home Chapel with Rev Ben Condrary of Alamo Heights Baptist church officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs.. Middleton died Saturday at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 13, 1909 in Kings Station, Ind. She moved to Caps- Girardeau, Mo., when she
was 8. Iit was there 1927 that she met Carl Middleton, who she married on Nov. 29, 1928. She was active, In the church and served as pianist in many of the churches her husband pastored She taught Sunday school In her home and served as superintendent of the nursery In some of the churches. She moved to Midland In 1966 and later became a member of Alamo Heights Baptist Church.
Her parents and seven brothers and sisters preceded her In death. Survivors include her husband, Car1 Middleton; one daughter, :Mary Ellen Parnell of Midland; one son, David L. Middleton of Arlington Heights, Ill.; and four grandchildren, three great-grandsons and several nephews and nieces'
