Owen O'Neill Stansbury, Sr., son of Charles William and Rita Breaux Stansbury of
Morgan City, Louisiana, died Monday, February 8, 2016.

Owen graduated from Morgan City High School in 1944. Then in May 1944 he left
for basic training in the U.S. Army. He was in the 757 Tank Battalion in Italy.
He retired from the U.S. Army in December 1946.

When he returned home he drove a taxi and did carpenter work with his brothers.
He eventually got a job at Cabot Corporation and retired from there in 1986.

In April of 1946 he married the Love of his life, Gloria Rock from Berwick.
They were blessed with a set of twins, Pamela and Patricia and one son, Owen,
Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six Siblings, William, Merlin,
Huey, Rita, Ella Ruth and Becky.

He is survived by his Siblings, Dickie Stansbury, Jack Stansbury, Ann Williams,
Wanzie Cousin, Caroline Darcie and his lovely wife Gloria, and children Pamela
& Guy Thomas Rankin, Jr, Patricia & John Savoy, and Owen Stansbury, Jr. as well
as 3 more generations.

Grandchildren: Tammy Rankin & John Billiot, Jamie & Glenn Lancon, Sherrie &
Kennon Evett, Eric & Eileen Savoy, Melissa & Andy Carper, Mark & Theresa Savoy,
Kevin & Jill Rankin
Great Grandchildren: Kristina Ware & Jeremy Brewster, Kimberly & Blake McCoy,
Glenn A. Lancon, Christian Carper, Ian Carper, Jackie Carper, George Lancon,
Seth Evett, Kaleb Evett, Emerson Rankin, Joshua Savoy, Michael Savoy, Daniel
Savoy, Benjamin Savoy
Great Great Grandchildren: Jorden Brewster, Tucker Brewster, Easton McCoy and
Avery McCoy
