Mrs. Wilma Lucille Fite Shaw, age 90, of Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday morning, August 25, 2017, at the Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care Center in Vanceburg, Kentucky.
She was born March 9, 1927 in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Jennings and Tillie Thurman Fite.
Wilma was a member of the Heselton Baptist Church and loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 44 years, Floyd Thomas Shaw; one son, Wilford Ray Shaw; one grandson, Kevin Dale Kegley; five brothers, Paul Fite, Jimmy Fite, Elmo Fite, Jay Fite, and Franklin Fite; and six sisters, Verona Dixon, Blanche Applegate, Opal Beaver, Vivan Moore, Ann Toller, and Marie Fite.
Wilma is survived by one son, Michael Shaw (Linda); two daughters, Linda Moore (Charles) and Kathy Kegley (Gary); four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Stella Toller of Maysville, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Kentucky with Brother Wes Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Ribolt, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Monday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
