JAMES FITE, A FARMER

James Edgar Fite, 67, Scoffield Road, Ripley, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1991, at a Georgetown hospital.

Born July 8, 1923, in Lewis County,Ky., a son of the late Jennings and Tillie Marie Thurman Fite, he was a farmer and a Protestant.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmie Roger Fite of Ripley and Brent Fite of Vanceburg, Ky.; three daughters,Marcella Planck and Rita Dunaway, both of Vanceburg, and Brenda Caldwell of Lucasville; three brothers, Paul Fite of Maysville, Ky., and Franklin Fite and Jay Fite, both of Vanceburg; five sisters, Verona Dixon of Newport, Ky., Blanche Applegate of Plumville, Ky., Stella Toller of Manchester, Wilma Shaw of Vanceburg and Marie Fite of Maysville; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, with the Rev. Wayne Riggs officiating and interment in Happy Hollow Cemetery at Ribolt, Ky.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until the services Friday at the funeral home.
