Some of the information about Pearl Steenson's childhood days were captured on photos. Pearl's parents and children did things together to survive during hard times. A
picture is shows that because money was tight when they first moved from Kansas to Oregon her parents, Roy and Maggie, took their family to a berry farm and picked crops to earn money until they eventually found work. The first year they lived in a tent.

A picture of Pearl in her cap and gown shows her in when she graduated with the class of 1943, however she was married in the summer of 1942 before the beginning of her senior year. So it is not sure if she graduated early in 1942 or if she managed to be a wife, give birth to her first child in April 1943, and graduate in June of 43 or if she took that year off and graduated in 1944. Anyway you look at it, the fact that she graduated was an accomplishment amidst all that activity.

A marriage certificate confirms that Pearl married Elmer James Hirst Jul 18,1942 in Clark, Washington. Their baby,
Linda Jimette Hirst was born Apr 24, 1944 in Portland, Clackamas Co,, Oregon. Sadly Linda Jimette Hirst tragically died in an auto accident in Prineville, Origan on Nov. 13, 1955. Some time before Jan of 1947, Pearl divorced Elmer James Hirst.

A marriage certificate reported the marriage of Pearl and Oswald A Spor on Jan 8,1947 in Clark Co., Washington. They had one unknown child.

Pearls third marriage was on 25 Feb 1957 in Skamania, Washington to John Kelton Honeywell. The has two children,
Rita Honeywell 1943, and

;
A fourth marriage was on 10 Oct 1959 in Clark, Washington to
