Charles Allen Tripp, 74 years old, Braymer, Mo, died yesterday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Galbraith 4223 Oak Street. He was a retired farmer. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ella Tripp of the home; seven other daughters, Mrs. Ila Archer, Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. Cleo Bryant, Somerton, Arizona; Mrs. Wavah McBee, Chelan, Washington; Mrs. La Rue Guthals, Pueblo, Colorado; Mrs. Ruth Lauver, Topeka; Mrs. Edna Shumate, 5613 East Thirteenth street, and Miss Note Tripp, Chicago; a son, Bradford H. Tripp, 4215 Troost avenue; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Bigsby, New Plymouth, Idaho, and three brothers, Louis Tripp and Willie Tripp, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Melvil Tripp, California.

Mr. Tripp has been in failing health for the past several years and in recent months was taken to Kansas City where, at the home of a daughter, he could be nearer medical treatment.

In addition to the above the formal obituary read at the funeral says:

Charles Allen Tripp, son of Rev. Bradford and Emma Tripp was born at Huntsville, Alabama June 27, 1871. He moved to Black Oak with his parents at the age of 11 years when Rev. Tripp was pastor of the Black Oak Circuit but moved away after two years. At the age of 23 years he returned and lived most of his life in and around Black Oak and Braymer.

He was converted at the age of 23 years and united with the Black Oak Church. He was a carpenter and farmer by trade, living both a useful and faithful life to his church and community.

He was united in marriage to Paulina Ella Holder, February 27, 1896 and to this union 11 children were born, 9 of whom are lving. They are named above.

The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at the Black Oak Church, the services being conductd by Rev. James E. Heath. The burial was in Black Oak cemetery where two daughters and other members of the family are buried.
