Mary Ann "Polly A." Moore was the daughter of William & Mary "Polly" (nee Westmoreland) Moore of Ellington, MO. She would have been born in Stokes County, North Carolina as William & Polly did not migrate to Reynolds County, MO until 1859.
Polly Ann married Landon Copeland on April 17, 1872 to which they had 9 children:
1) Lydia M. (born circa 1874)
2) Thomas "Tom" A. (born circa 1875)
3) Frederick "Freddy" Odis (born 1876)
4) John William (born 1876)
5) William "Bill" (born 1878)
6) Harold "Harry" A. (born 1880)
7) Sina (born 1883) md. James Rayfield
8) Lyman/Liman (born circa 1888)
9) Essie (born 1892).
Polly Ann's sister Miranda/Maranda (a.k.a. Ranny) also married a Copeland (John) as did her brother James (Sina Catherine Copeland).
The picture to the right is of Polly A. (nee Moore) Copeland in Ellington when her brother Alexander came up from Farmington to visit her. With the age of Alexander in the picture, knowing he & Polly A. passed away in 1930, and the Model-T Ford in the back ground, the picture is probably from the later half of the 1920s.
