Uncle Lorin was born to Albert Joseph Mueller and Nettie Heacock Mueller on May 21, 1933 in Bellevue, Iowa. He graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1951 and joined the military as a United States Marine. He served in California for a 3 year term. In 1954 he went to work for the Bellevue Herald as a printer. In the fall of 1955 he won a car at the State Fair. This is the same car he died in. He had a car accident with his friend George Kinmonth as a passanger. They were traveling home from a date in Cuba City, Wisconsin. The vehicle flipped and threw Lorin from the car. He died of a broken neck. George survived with minor injuries. He was killed on Friday Morning at 1:50 a.m. the wee hours after Thanksgiving.
