Mr. Ernest W. (Gus) Booth, age 46, of Route 2, (Center Community) Vidalia, died unexpectedly at his residence Sunday afternoon. Mr. Booth was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, a life member of the D.A.V., a member of the American Legion and a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Lucy Booth of Vidalia; a daughter, Mrs. Teresa Palmer of Vidalia; a son-in-law, Rickey Palmer of Vidalia; his mother, Mrs. Florence Booth of Vidalia; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Bennett and Mrs. Betty Hope both of Brunswick and Mrs. Sara Hitchcock of Cedar Crossing; three brothers, Everette Booth of Walthourville, Earl R. Booth of Missouri and Sam Galbreath of Vidalia; 1 grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services with military honors were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. from the Galbreath Cemetery near Alston with Rev. James M. Young and Rev. George D. Ricketson officiating.
