Burke, Francis R. "Frank" (Slaboszewski)
Age 62. Suddenly, Monday, Sept. 17, 1990 at Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet and a lifetime area resident until moving to Wilmington 18 years ago. Former partner with his brother, Leonard in operation of Frank & Len's Standard Service Station, corner of Jackson & Parks Sts, Joliet. Employed as an automotive mechanic for Ramme Buick, Coal City, until retirement in 1985. A Veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Malcolm J. Mayo Post #5422 VFW, Wilmington. Also South Wilmington Sportsman's Club. Preceded in death by his father, Frank Slaboszewski. Survived by his loving wife, Laura (Burton) of Wilmington; his mother, Theresa (Nickleski) Slaboszewski of Joliet; two sons, John of Egmet, CA and Robert of San Antonio, TX; three brothers, Val Slaboszewski of Shorewood, Chester (Thelma) Slaboszewski of Plainfield, Leonard (Carol) Slaboszewski of Joliet; four sisters, Rose Loselle of California, Lee (Ray) Davidson of Joliet, Beverly Novak of Lemont and Joan (Robert) Hobbs of Shorewood; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Remains are resting at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 251 N. Center at Campbell Sts. Funeral services for Francis R. Burke will be Thursday, September 20, 1990 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, Fr. Richard G. Ross officiating. Interment Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont. Visitation Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. Full military grave side service under the auspices of Malcolm J. Mayo Post #5422 VFW, Wilmington∼Grave located in the Garden of Devotion section of the cemetery.
