Born July 8, 1940, in Turbeville, he was a son of the late William Henry Osborne and the late Clarisa Jane Osborne. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and retired from the civil service at Shaw Air Force Base. Roy loved his family and friends. He enjoyed working on his backhoe and going to the Sportsman’s Stop and Go.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Tommy Osborne, Linnie “Totsie” Bryant, Claudie Osborne, Dennis Osborne, and Charlie Osborne.
