On Mar. 30 1889, Ozro married Helen Aline Brownell of Nebraska. They started their family in Chicago, IL, where he worked in the stock yards. Returning to California, he is shown in the 1900 Federal Census as living at 1127 Washington St. in Santa Ana (a remembered Victorian now displaced by the I-5 Freeway), with wife "Helen A, son Clarence H., son David W., son Allen J., son Stanly G., daughter Angeline D. and daughter Stella C." Not yet born was their last child, Frank (1912-1977).
Among other occupations, he was a manager and book keeper for the Santa Ana Irrigation District. He had a beach cabin on the board walk in the center of Laguna Beach, CA for family holidays (now gone). He was referred to as "Tiny Grandpa" (and his wife as "Tiny Grandma").
I remember him visiting his son, Clarence's ranch in Hemet, CA, with his white hair, taking afternoon naps on the screened porch in a large, oak rocking chair. - Darrell Mansur (great-grandson)
