Stella was the sixth of seven children born to Ozro Edward and Helen (Brownell) Mansur. She married Richard Orlando Metz on Sep. 14, 1922 in Orange, Orange County, California and with him had two sons (1923 and 1928). She married 2nd her widowed brother-in-law, Oscar Carlson, in Orange on Jan. 20, 1946.

Like her sister, Angie, Stella lived with Oscar on his farm in Placentia, CA. The house was on the edge of a large orange grove. My favorite memory of it from the late '40s is of a Kumquat tree that stood next to the house and enjoying its fruits. The grove had been replaced by a housing development when I briefly lived in the area in the late '60s, but their home was still standing. - D. V. Mansur, grand nephew.
