Margaret Ruth (Abbott) Sullivan peacefully passed from this earth into the arms of Our Lord, at 4:20 AM, Sunday, April 23, 2017, two days after her 88th birthday, at her home in Henryville, Indiana, with her family by her side. She was married to Harry A. Sullivan on December 27,1947 and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in December. Ruth was born April 21,1929 to Charles Herman and Iva (Montgomery) Abbott, Clark County, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her Daughter, Debra Krebs.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, and siblings: Lillian Ater, Francis Gray, Charles Abbott, Alice Hall and Roberta Vanmeter. Her remaining siblings are Wanita Aubrey, Wilmington, Ohio; James Abbott, Lexington, Indiana; Sandra Coulter, Sellersburg, Indiana; and Mary Cable, of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She is the beloved Mother of Rita Sullivan-Younger, Borden, Indiana; Barbara Bary, Otisco, Indiana; Richard Sullivan, Eminence, Kentucky; and Shannon Hawkins, Henryville, Indiana.
A life-long member of the First United Methodist Churches of Otisco, Indiana and Henryville, Indiana, she was a friend to everyone she met.
Mrs. Sullivan is Grandmother to 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is beloved by many and will be sorely missed by all.
