Dorothy Martha Sadler Pelch was born in Salt Lake City. Dorothy attended the University of Utah, where she earned a Master's Degree in Education.

Dorothy touched many lives serving as a teacher at Copperview Elementary for over twenty-two years and being heavily involved in the Scouting program for many years along with her husband, Paul. She was also an active member of the Fireman's Auxiliary.

Dorothy enjoyed making porcelain dolls, spending winters in St. George as a snowbird, being around her family and friends, and regaling them with stories of her life and family.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her mother, Martha H. Record; father, Harold King Record; and husband of sixty-eight years, Paul Pelch. She is survived by her four sons, Paul (Jacque), S. Kent (Becky), Vern (Krista), and Gary (Holly); along with eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family would like to thank the Beehive Home in Draper and Hospice for their wonderful kind and loving care of Dorothy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy. Viewings will be held at the mortuary on Monday, April 26, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the services on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
