Lucy Roller, daughter of Phillip and Rosanna Roller, was born in Virginia on December 29, 1866 and departed this life December 25, 1953, at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 26 days. Practically all her life was spent in Taney County.
On October 18, 1891, she was united in marriage to James C. Caudle, who survives her.

Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hires, Rt. 3, Ava, Mo.; two sons, Virgil and Otis, both of Bradleyville, Mo.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Lucy Mitchell, 454 W. Page, Springfield and Mrs. Maxine Siler, Rt. 3, Ava, Mo,; two great grandchildren, Lewis A. and Donnell Mitchell of Springfield; a nephew, Stanley Sullenger, who was raised in this home and one brother, John Roller of Republic; also a host of relatives and friends.

She was united with the Church of Christ at an early age and remained faithful to the end.

Services were conducted by the Rev. William Spindler of Ava, with burial in the Patterson Cemetery near Bradleyville on Sunday, December 27.
