"A .J. Roller, 77, well-known and honored Celina, Texas citizen for many years, died at his home there at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday night. His funeral services were held at his home in Celina, Texas at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Ball, pastor of the Primitive Baptist Church of Tioga, Texas with interment following in the Old Celina Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Virginia in 1860, coming first to Missouri and then to Texas in 1883. He had resided since that time in and near Celina, Texas engaging in the mercantile business and operating a thresher and gin there for a number of years.
His wife and children preceded him to the grave. His death removed from Celina one of their oldest and best-known citizens."
