James Calvin Caudle, son of William and Sarah Caudle was born May 13, 1871 near Sparta, Mo. He passed away April 19, 1956 at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 6 days.
Mr Caudle was married to Lucy Roller, October 18, 1891, near Bradleyville, Mo. To this union three children were born, all of whom survive. One daughter, Cora Hires, Rt. 3, Ava, Mo., two sons, Virgil and Otis of Bradleyville, Mo. Also are surviving: One son-in-law, Alex Hires, Rt. 3, Ava, Mo, two grandchildren, Mrs. Lucy of Springfield, and Mrs. Maxine Siler of Ava. Three great grandchildren, Donell and Lewis Mitchell of Springfield and Jim Siler of Ava. One brother, Fred Caudle of Fowler, Calif; one sister, Mina Sullenger of Taneyville, Mo., one nephew, Stanley Sullenger who made his home with Mr. Caudle for a number of years. One brother-in-law, John Roller of Republic as well as many nieces and nphews who also survive him.
After 62 years of marriage, Mrs. Caudle preceded him in death on December 25, 1953.
