Mrs. Alfred A. Yerkes
Elizabeth H., wife of Alfred A. Yerkes, entered into rest Sunday, July 12th, at the residence of her son, Wm. V. Yerkes, 1641 Edgeley street, Philadelphia, with whom she had resided about a year. She leaves, besides her husband and son, the following sisters: Mrs. Charles G. Grant, Mrs. Joseph Nichols, Mrs. Jessie Adams, John Kitchen. Other relatives are Mrs. Lafayette Pyle, Mrs. Wm. C. Cochran, Mrs. George Longacre, Mrs. Edwards. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Trinity and different societies taking an active part as long as able. The deceased resided in West Chester for many years, and had many friends.

The funeral of Elizabeth H. Yerkes, which occurred yesterday fr the residence of her cousin, Mrs. William C. Cochran, South Walnut Street, was, in spite of the storm, largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Curry, of the Church of the Advocate, Philadelphia, and Rev. John Mills Gilbert, of the Church of the Holy Trinity, West Chester. The pall bearers were Joseph G. Nichols, Hoopes H. Vandever, Lafayette Pyle, William C. Cochran, George Longacre, Wm. M. Adams. Interment was made at Greenmount Cemetery.
