Ethel (short for Ethelbert) McClain was the son of George Wesley McClain and Ollie May (Sifford) McClain who were originally from Stoddard County. They moved south into Dunklin County to farm--first in the Sumach area, and after 1920 further south around Caruth MO. Mr. Ethel McClain was married to Vashie McClain (1904-1992.
