In 1930 Raymond C. McClain was listed in the household of his parents in Dunklin County, MO. Sometime after that he traveled west to Arizona (probably with his brother Elden McClain)to work. Elden returned to Missouri, but Raymond continued westward to Modesto, California, where a lot of McClain/McLain relatives had migrated. He remained in Stanislaus County, CA, for the rest of his life.
His d/c states that he was never married.
