Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Brooks Chapel with Lennie McCay, pastor of Discipleship Ministries for Washington Avenue Christian Church and Rick Lopez, pastor of Arena Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery.

Wesley W. Krey was born on August 6, 1923 in Richfield, Kansas to Arcy and Myrtle Krey. He was a veteran of the Army, serving as a military police during WWII. He returned from the Philippines in 1946 as a Corporal and received many medals including the Bronze Star and Victory Medal. He married Vena B. Hunt in Kermit in 1963. They were married for 53 years before she preceded him in death on March 18, 2016. They loved to travel and enjoyed fishing on the Pecos and Rio Grande Rivers where they loved their home away from home in Comstock. Wesley was involved in farming and was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife and a son, the late Dale Krey.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Sky West Assisted Living Center By Shaw and the special angels from BSA Hospice of the Southwest, Tana and Erin.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Roper and her children, Brett and Jennifer; son, Adrian Krey and his children, Forest, Arden, Levi, and Isaac; daughter, Brenda Lockridge and husband, Robert and their children, William, Nicholas and Laura; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Don; a sister, Phyllis; daughter, Janice Cluck and husband, Laddie; two granddaughters, Lisa Foreman and husband Cam and their son, Hayden and Tesha Beaty and husband, Tim and their daughter, Alexa.

The family suggests memorials be to Washington Avenue Christian Church, 3800 S. Washington, Amarillo, TX 79110 or to Arena Church, 26101 S. US Hwy 87, Canyon, TX 79015.
