Mrs. Walter Bennett Died Last Friday
This community was saddened by the news of the death of Mrs. Walter Bennett, wife of Mr. Walter Bennett, of this city, who died last Friday morning at six o'clock. She died at the hospital at Houston, where she was carried for an operation for appendicitis.
The body was shipped here and carried to Concord Cemetery for interment on Saturday morning.
Mrs. Bennett was a splendid lady, a member of the Baptist church and a Christian lady of the highest type. Sh was reared in Ellard and was before her marriage, Miss Aggie Stillman. She has many friends at this place, as well as around her old home, all of whom are more sad because of her passing.
She is survived by her husband and eight children: Ernest Bennett of Lyon; Mrs. Mittie Tharpe, Mrs. Abbie Gordon and Mrs. Leslie Lee, all of this city, and three small chilren, Frank, Olin, Ruth and Charlie.
We sincerely sympathize with the bereaved ones.
