Mother of Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Schurr of Bluffton, Mrs.
Catherine [sic Cathrine] Isabelle Sheets, 96, died at 3 am today at the
home of her son, Noel Sheets on Columbia City Route 6. She
had been ill one year.
A former resident of Bluffton Route 3, Mrs. Sheets was a
member of Prairie Friends Church.
Born June 25, 1886 at Liberty Center, she was a daughter of
Hiram and Hanna [sic Hannah] First Mossburg. Her marriage December 22,
1906 in Wells County was to Ozro Sheets, who died in 1974.
Also surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Carl (Ina)
Montz and Mrs. Albert (Doris) Christoffel, both of Fort Wayne;
25 grandchildren and 54 great and one great-great
grandchild.
Calling will be after 1 pm Tuesday at Thoma/Rich Funeral
Home, where services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday; Rev.
Lloyd Roth will officiate. Burial will be in Mossburg Cemetery.
