INA M. MONTZ, 96, of Covington Manor, died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. Born Aug. 3, 1918, she was a daughter of Ozro Ellsworth and Catherine Isabel Sheets. Her formative years were spent in Bluffton, Ind. on a farm. She attended Popular Grove School and graduated from Bluffton High School. After graduation, she worked as a housekeeper and then in the kitchen at Lutheran Hospital. She worked at General Electric from 1942 until 1981 when she retired. On July 29, 1950, she married Carl F. Montz at Simpson United Church in Fort Wayne; he died on Feb. 1, 2011. They made their home in Fort Wayne and Waynedale and celebrated 60 years of marriage. Ina enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Surviving relatives include sister, Dorothy Schurr; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Noel and Paul Sheets; and sisters, Helen Sprowl, Mabel Spenn and Doris Christoffel. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at the funeral home.
