Raymond Allison
Services will be held Wednesday for Raymond R. Allison, 78, of 1515 Cleveland Ave., who died early Monday morning in City Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Allison was born Dec. 12, 1899, in Georgetown, Pa., a son of Robert R. Allison and Maggie Wright Allison. He had spent most of his life in the Calcutta area, where he was a member of Longs Run United Presbyterian Church. He was retired in 1962 from the Crucible Steel Division of Colt Industries. His wife, Leona M. Allison, died July 18, 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Mary Louise) McElhaney of Rogers; two sons, James R. (Bud) Allison of Chester and Howard R. Allison of Hookstown; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The rites will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. William R. Betteridge at the Dawson Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown. Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and tonight.
