She was born in Parke County on August 6, 1928 to the late Arizona “Dutch” Archer and Louisa Jane (Wright) Archer.
Emma attended Bridgeton High School, and later married Roy Krider who preceded her in death. She worked at Clay County Hospital, local nursing homes and cared for the elderly in their homes for several years. Emma spent many years helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to crotchet, paint, decorate and playing bingo.
Emma was preceded in death by her son, Jack Krider; son-in-law, Michael Johnson; six brothers, Chester, Richard, Kenny, Gilbert, Tommy, and Cecil.
Survivors Include: Son: Tony (Brenda) Krider, Brazil, Indiana; Daughter: Kathy (Dennis Davenport) Johnson, Brazil, Indiana; Grandchildren: Sharon Indelicato, Jeff Bucholz, Janna (Jim) Koehn, Troy (Cristen) Johnson, Matt Krider, Paul (Shanna) Krider; Great-Grandchildren: Heather, Sabrina, Chloey, Addison, Bellah, Mason, Logan, Salina, Zachariah; Great-Great Grandchildren: Grant, Malachi, Kaiden.
Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with Mrs. Krider’s cremation arrangements. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calcutta Cemetery.
