He was the son of Edward O. and Lena Klossner Anken.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was wounded July 12, 1944, in the battle of St. Lo, France. He had been disabled since that time.
Mr. Anken was awarded the Conspicuous Service Medal and the Purple Heart.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Rosaline) Arcand, Constableville and Mrs. W. Louis (Viola) Botts, Oklahoma City, OK and three brothers, Rudolph Anken, Constableville; Albert Anken, Utica and Raymond Anken, Boonville.
