DEATH OF MEMBER OF AN OLD FAMILY
MRS. MARTHA J. ELLIOTT HAD LIVED IN HANCOCK COUNTY ALL HER LIFE
Mrs. Martha J. Elliott died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at her heme, 218 North Pennsylvania street. She was 75 years old. the widow of Emery Clarkson Elliott, who died six years ago.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by two children, William E. Elliott, who holds the chair of religious education in Washington University, St. Louis. Mo., and Mrs. Paul Brown, of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Bacon, of Hutchison. Kansas, and Dr. Mary L. Brunner, of this city; and two brothers, Nathan and William Penn Binford, both also of Greenfield.

Mrs. Elliott was a well known woman of the community and a lite-long resident of this county, having been a member of the Binford family of Blue River township. She was a life-long member of the Friends church.

Mrs. Elliott was noted for her charity work. She was a member of the Hancock County Board of Charities for thirty years, and was also a member of the Home Reading Club. She was a graduate of Earlham college and of the National Normal School of Ohio, and taught school for ten years.

The funeral services will occur Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Greenfield Friends church. Interment will take place in Walnut Ridge cemetery in charge of Pasco Bros.
